The first was the dinosaurs used for the howdahs. These turn out to be 1:40 scale dinos from the Carnegie Safari. They were all in the $9-12 range locally, except the sauropod who was around $20.
I also picked up an unknown scale gorilla which would go great for a Mighty Joe Young style ape. It is made by Safari, Ltd. He was $9, I think, but I saw him online for $3!
